Cirencester’s Remembrance Sunday 2025: Honouring Sacrifice in the Heart of the Cotswolds

On Sunday, November 9th, 2025, the historic market town of Cirencester will come together in solemn unity to mark Remembrance Sunday, paying tribute to the brave men and women who gave their lives in service to their country. The event is organized by the Cirencester Branch of the Royal British Legion, and will begin at 10:45 am at the Parish Church of St John Baptist, followed by a wreath-laying ceremony in the Market Place.

Cirencester’s Remembrance Sunday is more than a ceremony, it’s a moment of collective reflection. The town’s schools, churches, and community groups play a vital role in educating younger generations about the importance of remembrance. Poppy displays and fundraising efforts have been visible throughout the town in the lead-up to the event, reinforcing the message: We will remember them.

The Remembrance Parade is a deeply respected tradition, drawing together veterans, serving personnel, civic leaders, and residents of all ages to reflect the town’s enduring commitment to honouring its fallen heroes.
